I'm a Palm Springs local who loves capturing the joy on your special days. I'm happy you're here!
Leading up to Anne and Ryan’s wedding, I was super excited. We had such a fun time at their engagement session.. (including getting kicked out of a location by a super snarky cop) that I KNEW it was going to be a fun wedding day… Check out more of their engagement session here! As Trent and I drove down to San Diego the day of her wedding, rain fell on our windshield and with each drop, I was getting more and more sad…knowing that most brides are disappointed if their special day is a drizzly one…but not Anne! As soon as I walked into her parent’s adorable house, I was greeted with a smile and an attitude that every bride SHOULD have on their wedding day, happy no matter what! As Trent stayed with the boys and took their photos at a separate house, I was lucky enough to hang out with Anne and her awesome family and friends. Smiles were all around, tears were shed (happy tears, of course!) , making it easy to see that she was surrounded by people who loved her. Anne and Ryan’s wedding was full of SO many personal touches as well as personal traditions.. take a look!
The girls each took a photo with a sign and they sent it to Ryan before he saw her walk down the aisle. SO cute!
Meanwhile, over at the boys, they were putting on Ryan’s jacket backwards…haha! I love going through the goofy boy’s photos after a wedding!
Had to put these ring photos next to one another..the left is obviously Ryan’s gift to Anne, and the right was Anne’s father’s gift to her mother on her wedding day, and Anne wore it on hers! SO many personal touches.
Ryan’s sister, Marisa, printed these awesome invites through her company Para Twin Palms Printing.
The veil that Anne wore was her mom’s as well!
Loooove this photo with Anne and her sister…and her baby bump!
All eyes on the bride!
and Ryan was SO happy when he first saw her. It was adorable.
Sant Joseph Cathedral was amazingly beautiful! Not only that, but more importantly, there is so much meaning and tradition inside these walls. Anne’s parents and grandparents (along with many others in her family) were married there.
Love how happy they looked! PS. How gorgeous did they do up the aisle!? Swoooon.
Although it was still raining when their ceremony was over, we were able to get some beautiful shots outside of the church.
We hopped onto the boat that they were going to use to make their entrance (yes, awesome..I know) and they practiced their first dance while we were waiting for everyone to be ready! And…the rain STOPPED! So we were able to get photos outside of the boat..which was awesome.
Then it was time for their entrance. As all of their guests stood out on the balcony of the San Diego Yacht Club, Anne and Ryan stood at the front of the boat and waived, much like something out of a movie!
Just a fun fact, Anne and Ryan made ALL of the candle favors that everyone got to take home that day!On the left, you’ll see two cake toppers. The crystal cake topper was Anne’s parents from their wedding and the other is from Ryan’s Grandparent’s wedding day! How cool is that?! It makes things so much more fun to photograph when there is stories behind the details.
The florals were so amazing, I kid you not, the room smelled of fresh flowers for the entire evening. Lois Mathews Design did such an amazing job putting this together!Anne called her dress the “perfect spinning dress” and it totally was!
It was such a fun night..I am SO glad that I was able to share it with you both and your wonderful families!!
